The Obama administration says the Recovery Act created or saved 640,000 jobs through September but the unemployment rate is still very high through out the nation. In fact, the government reported this week that the national unemployment rate was 10.2 percent for October.

The jobless rate is well above the 9.9 percent that economists expected and breaks the psychological barrier of 10 percent, topping double digits for the first time in 26 years. In all, employers shed 190,000 non-farm jobs last month.
